How would you describe your current role to a HR outsider?
I'm a person who is responsible to ensure the company attracting & placing the right talent, in the right time and at the right place in the company. I'm also working closely with the company & business leaders, to empower & enable the employees to reach the company objective together.
What is a common misconception about the work you do?
Only taking care the personnel's administration and or people might think HR works is not as difficult, challenging, even strategic as non-HR works.
How did you get started in your HR career?
Started to join the recruitment team from the earliest of my career, consistently being recruiter for yeats, then given responsibilities to step up to lead & handle other HR roles until now.
Describe the most impactful HR project you've personally worked on.
Create the Internship Program, having collaboration with the corporate strategy & communication back in 2012, as one solution to tackle the lack of talent resources because of the hiring freeze. Setting up many SOPs & good HR practices, also strategy to internalize the new company values which includes ownership & learning culture in current role, as part of company transformation.
What is one HR/future of work trend or change you're not convinced will work for SEA startups?
The use of AI in HR, as SEA people is very strong when it comes to collaboration, and embracing the culture of engagement & kinship.
What is one HR/future of work trend or change that you hope to see more of at SEA startups?
Learning, culture of appreciation, and remote working strategy.

AIHR, ETHR, SHRM, Korn Ferry, Harvard Business Review.
Lastly, where are you based, and where would you take friends visiting your city for the first time?
I'm based in Jakarta, and I would like to take my friends to visit Kota Tua - a place where we can find authentics foods and also walking on history of the city.
